Satyeshwari Devi Memorial public School was founded in 1991 and it is named in the profound memory of the Holy soul Late Satyeshwari Devi, wife of Late Sitaram Chamoli, the Founder of the school. S.D.M Public School is a English Medium Co-Educational Day School located in Raiwala area which comes under district Dehradun. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE).

The institution is also popularly known as SDM PUBLIC SCHOOL which has a symbolic meaning as

S – Symbolizes Goddess Saraswati the deity of learning.
D – Deepak (Diya) the Lamp, the symbol of light.
M – Mala, the Garland, Symbol of a Chain that stand through all the hearts.
